Description

Some users have already posted their photos of this wonderful natural place in Gerês (Portugal) and now it's my turn. This is one of the many small waterfalls that anyone can find at Gerês and this is my take on one of those.

Nothing special, but hope everyone likes it.

Nice composition and shutter speed. I think a lower exposure would have benefited this image. I'd also up the contrast and increase blacks.

Could you elaborate on that lower exposure? I wanted the water to have a little of that effect. Increasing the contrast and blacks would create some overexposed and underexposed areas, I tried to keep that to a minimum.

Nice composition and details I agree. I think boosting up blacks (making shadows more visible) would create a more depth on your photo, because now it looks somehow flat. Also water is just a bit overexposed.
Your signature is blocking a part of photo, please don't do that, it ruins a composition.

Nice place for photography!

I think from my perspective at least that the whites of the water lacks a little detail. That is close to overexposure.

Boosting the blacks would make dark things even darker, how would that make the shadows more visible? I'm sorry, but as long as I keep posting my photos online (even if they suck) they will get the watermark.

@all (about the exposure)
Maybe you all have your screens really bright? I mean, Lightroom does not report any overexposed areas, it does report a few small underexposed areas but not overexposed...
